This list identifies around 250 cases of ante-nuptial fornication identified within the parish of Canonbie Kirk Session minutes. This is where a child was conceived out of wedlock but the parents subsequently got married. It is particularly useful for marriages prior to 1768 where no marriage records survive in the Old Parish Registers (OPRs). The list has been indexed by both male surname and female surname.
