Very interesting, i have a long line of ancestors in dumfries. I wonder if my great grandfather x2 william sturgeon who married mary casey was related to this linebof sturgeon. I have robert sturgeon on my ancestry and other names you mention but no direct link.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[Robert Sturgeon and Mary Cochrane came with at least 6 children, Sarah, Jane, John, James, Robert, and Samuel. Their son James Robert disappeared after his christening. They proceeded to have 3 more children in Dailly - William, Mary and Ann. Their last child born Jan 1, 1855 was the first entry in the Dailly civil registration of births.
Of all 10 children, 9 survived to adulthood, married, and had children. Descendants exist today from 8 of the children.]]></description>
